In November 2006, aged only 33, I had reached my all time physical low through years of over-indulging on the supposed good life. As a result my general health was suffering and it was time to sort myself out. In the past I had made numerous attempts to battle the bulge and keep a steady weight but each time I ground to a halt after only a few weeks. This time it WAS going to be different, but based on my previous attempts, I needed someone to provide additional help and motivation. Having found the NRPT website I was fortunate enough to track down Jim. After an initial fitness consultation I signed up to a 10 week programme. This consisted of tailor-made workouts once a week on a one-to-one basis as well as suggestions on diet and exercise I could do myself throughout the rest of the week. The short drive to work each day was immediately banned by Jim and replaced by walking! I still continue this and feel all the better for it. I also signed up for Circuit Training which is run by Jim at Clifton College. I have not missed a session to date and plan to keep this up as it is a fantastic way to shed the pounds. Jim has also put together a series of runs which I do each week and I have already lost one and a half stone and am nearing my optimum weight. This is all down to Jim’s encouragement and varied fitness sessions. Jim is professional, a good laugh, and fully committed to his clients. My whole mindset has now changed and I actually look forward to training with Jim each week rather than having to force myself to go.
